  • This should stop people from being crazy about their skills. Too many movies are made causing people to believe that they too can have special powers if only they “believe”. The amount of time that a professional puts in their craft is beyond belief to normal people.

  • I played against a guy who played overseas and at this point he was in his mid 50’s. He would pull up from NBA range without hesitation and just drill them over and over. He was the best shooter I’ve ever played with. He couldn’t touch the league when he was 30 years younger and athletic. NBA players are so good. If you think you can compete with them, you’re delusional.

  • Let's put things perspective. only 4300 players have played a single game in the NBA in its 75 year history. . That is right, out of all the professional basketball players in history, only 4300 have actually played a single second in a game. This is how delusional people are who think they can take on an NBA player. Scalabrini is a 11 year NBA vet...

But, I was at least an average college player, who got lucky enough to play against a few future NBA players, and despite being well outmatched, I got a few good plays that I get to look back on! But, I got cut from the semi-pro leagues. So, I know my place.

  • I played an NBA player at my local gym and I didn’t even know who he was (AJ PRICE, this was the around the year he started for an injured bulls In the playoffs or end of the regular season) it was full court 5v5 and he was DEFINITELY going half speed and still torched our team lmao, but I shot on him at will 😎(high school 3pt line lol). I had like 7 points(mind you I’m 5’10) to his 12(game was 11, he just kept hitting 2s 😭)but the guys on the sideline kept hyping me up everytime I took the ball up, And they went crazy every time I scored. The game went by so quick since he NEVER missed and I only missed my last shot then started passing. If I knew he was an NBA player during the game I guarantee y’all I would of bricked every shot I took cause That has always been a dream of mine to go head to head against an NBA talent 😂 shit happened at the XSports at Roosevelt field mall atleast like 8-9 years ago great times man, I had a couple of 10+ streaks in there, now I’m covid fat 🥴 TLDR: traded buckets with AJ PRICE at my local gym. Still got touched but I held my own against him offensively in a full court 5v5 game

Why is there such a large section outlining how below average Brian was in the NBA only to compare to him to that performance beating a random high school kid? Well yeah of course a former NBA player is going to dominate a totally random teen who’s “probably better than the average high school hooper”.
